PUTTING LAND TO WORK IN KLICKITAT COUNTY
About the project
River Turn Energy Center is a proposed solar + battery storage project in eastern Klickitat County, Washington. We are excited to work in partnership with state and county officials, sovereign nations, community stakeholders, and local landowners to develop a project that fits Klickitat County and reflects local land use and priorities.
The site was selected for its strong solar resource, access to existing transmission infrastructure, and large areas of dryland agricultural and grazing land. This creates an opportunity to put land to work in a way that provides long-term financial stability for local landowners.

Benefits of a solar project
River Turn Energy Center offers Klickitat County a forward-looking opportunity to generate energy while creating long-term value for local landowners and the broader community.

In areas where agricultural conditions can vary year to year, projects like this can provide an additional source of stability through consistent, long-term income for participating landowners.

This solar + battery storage facility will generate meaningful tax revenue to support schools and essential public services, while also creating upwards of 400 construction jobs and boosting local businesses.

More broadly, River Turn contributes to meeting growing regional energy demand, helping support a reliable and diverse energy system across the Northwest.
